Aman Pant On Background Artists: Shahrukh Khan The film ‘Danky’ was released in theaters on 21st December and it is earning well at the box office. Meanwhile, music composer of ‘Dinky’, Aman Pant, during an interview with ABP News, talked about the importance of background artists and giving credit in films.
On the question that often only the one who is visible on the screen gets recognition and the artists working behind the screen become anonymous, what does he think on this, Aman said – ‘People always know the one who is in front, but I feel that awareness has increased these days. Like when I was checking Komal Nahta’s review of ‘Dinky’, he had especially mentioned about the background music that Aman Pant has done a very good job, other people also wrote similarly.
‘Now films are being known by the name of directors…’
Aman Pant further said- ‘Awareness has increased these days. The importance of people working behind the scenes has increased. If you see, in earlier times people did not even know the directors, but now films are being known by the name of directors. People were excited about ‘Dinky’ because it was Rajkumar Hirani’s film. So it is a good sign that people are loving the directors, which means they are loving the content.
Getting recognition because of social networking!
The ‘Dinky’ music composer further said- ‘A good film is made only if there is a good director, good actor and good technician. The technicians who are working are very important. This is teamwork. People from the background are slowly coming forward. People have come to know about their work also. This is the era of social networking, so even the common man sees who is doing what, so people are coming forward.
Aman Pant said credit is important
Aman Pant also talked about giving further credit. He said- ‘We have also included four lines at the end of the film. The poetry in the background is by Shivkumar Batalvi Saheb and we have also given his name in special thanks. We have taken a line that ask about the condition of Fakira da Baki and the lines writer Farman is from Punjab and he has written it. I think it is most important to give credit whether it is half a line or one line.
‘From spot boy to film director…’
According to Aman, if anyone is doing any work, his name should be visible because people read the credits and see who all are associated with the content. Aman said- ‘From spot boy to film director, everyone has importance and contribution. If you remove even one person, there will be a problem.
